Christmas Eve

As I sit, going through some photos to upload and blog, the cats are killing a gecko in the lounge (I'm sorry- it gets beyond the point where I can intervene and try to rescue them) and the guy upstairs is in his U2-concert-for-one mode. (Stuck in the Joshua Tree era....not that that's a bad thing, it's just....boring)
Hard to believe that soon not a creature will stir and Father Christmas will wing his way across the Southern hemisphere, bells a jingling.
A few days ago I awoke from a hot and restless night to find the morning grey and misty and delightfully cool so I grabbed the camera and made a beeline for the beach hoping to catch some people enjoying the reprieve from the heat. And yes, believe it or not, there was a group of people in the water at 05:30 in the morning!  As it turned out, the mist was actually light rain and my gear started to get really wet so I didn't have the camera out for long but it was fun trying to capture the mood.

And, for those interested, some pics of The Couch. This piece of furniture has attitude. Perhaps (wishful thinking) even the cats will know that This Is A Thing Not To Be Messed With. Hah. Fat bloody chance!

It's comfy though,  has some good reading possies -plus I can take a kip on it. So I'm rather chuffed.

Merry Christmas everyone! May the day, and the year ahead, bring peace, love and all the things that make you happy.

The coach looks wonderful. Enjoy it!
And those misty beach photos are full of atmosphere and capture the early morning mood so well. I can almost smell the salty air. Well done!

Oh wow, new blogger on the block. No wait, this looks familiar, and it sounds familiar too. Have I read this blog before? *thinks*

LEE!!!!! Where in the world have you been? Everyday I check Google Reader, everyday I hope to read something new from you and for months, nothing. I think I've known you for a while to know that you will pop your head up when you can. And glad that you did on one of the most wonderful times of the year.

Happy Christmas my dear friend. You are missed, terribly. I hope you had a great Christmas with the family and the cats. The Couch is rather imposing. You do know that to the cats, it screams "Scratch me, I know you want to!" I however want to sit myself down on that gorgeous floor you have and spend an entire day chatting and drinking tea (hot or cold makes no difference) and maybe knit/sew a bit with you.

One day, my friend, one day....

Lots of love, hugs and kisses from a rather cool Dubai. :)

@Jocelyn - Hey, way to pile on the guilt, sistah! Lol. I have been a bit scarce in the blogosphere but will try and make up for it in the next few weeks (before another crazy school year begins).I've just added your wordpress site to my blog reader cause I haven't seen a thing of yours since you left Blogger!!
Merry Christmas to you too my friend- I'll try to be around more in 2011! *hugs*

The couch!! It's absolutely gorgeous me dear. Very trendy indeed - I can see why you want to keep the cats away from it *g* The little blighters better keep their claws to themselves... heh.

As for your misty pics - lovely and atmospheric. I especially like the first one. Just my kind of setting.

Funny- I wasn't necessarily going for trendy- just small, modern and non-puffy!!You know how hard it is finding one with that criteria?!!
